11-Days “Kenya short safari and beach”

Depending on your flight, you will arrive in Nairobi during the day. Upon arrival at the international airport, there are various options for withdrawing money from ATMs, so it is not necessarily essential to bring local currency from your country. After you have withdrawn money, you will meet our local colleague for a transfer to the Emara Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi. Once you have checked in, your luggage will be taken to your room, and it's time to relax after your journey. If the bar is still open, you will receive an explanation from our local colleague about the program and the itinerary of your safari while enjoying a drink. Afterward, you will have your first overnight stay at the Emara Ole Sereni Hotel.

Today is all about relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of this location. From the hotel, you have a view over Nairobi National Park where you can already spot some animals. On the top floor of the hotel, there is a lovely rooftop terrace and also the swimming pool, allowing you to experience your first moments in Africa in a truly special way. For this day, we haven't included any standard activities, but we will ensure that a guide is available for you. If you wish to do something, you can coordinate with the guide locally. Options include visiting the Giraffe Center, Bomas of Kenya – where local dances and cultural activities are performed, the Nairobi National Museum, or exploring a local art gallery. Depending on the location, you can also explore the Masai market, which changes its location in Nairobi daily. If it's nearby, it's definitely worth a visit. Lastly, it's enjoyable to visit the Karen Blixen Museum, stepping back in time and reliving the moment when Karen Blixen (author of the book "Out of Africa") lived in Nairobi. All meals and accommodation will be provided by the Emara Ole Sereni Hotel.

After an early breakfast, during which you may already spot some animals (as you are staying on the edge of Nairobi National Park), you'll leave Nairobi and embark on your first inland journey towards Amboseli National Park. Along the way, you'll enjoy breathtaking views and see Mount Kilimanjaro gradually getting closer on the horizon. During the final stretch, your guide will point out the variety of animals that may be roaming along the roadside. With a bit of luck, you might spot something before arriving at Ol Tukai Lodge around lunchtime. This comfortable lodge offers you a stunning view of the nearly 6,000-meter-high Kilimanjaro. If the weather is clear early in the morning or at the end of the afternoon, you might catch a glimpse of the snow-capped peaks. After settling in, you'll have lunch followed by your first encounter with the wildlife around Lake Amboseli, a marshland that attracts many animals daily. As the sun begins to set, you'll return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Ol Tukai Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you'll embark on an early morning game drive in the area. During this game drive, you'll have the chance to witness the impressive sight of large herds of elephants that migrate to the marshes daily for food and their bathing ritual—a captivating experience that will surely fascinate you. The park offers a plethora of wildlife, including waterbucks, antelopes, buffalos, ostriches, wildebeests, and zebras. The landscape is equally remarkable, characterized by lush green marshes interspersed with dry savannah plains. Thanks to the abundant water, you'll also encounter many exotic waterfowls, pelicans, and ospreys, making it an ideal spot for bird enthusiasts. After a picnic lunch in the park, you'll head towards Tsavo West with its adjacent Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary. Once you arrive in Tsavo, you'll feel like you've entered a paradise, as it's a beautiful natural area teeming with wildlife, sometimes in abundance! While continuing your wildlife spotting, you'll slowly make your way towards your accommodation, the cozy and unique Taita Hills Safari Resort. Depending on the safari experiences of the day, you'll arrive at this beautiful location towards the end of the afternoon, where you can unwind with a refreshing drink at the lodge. Following that, dinner and overnight stay await you at the Taita Hills Safari Resort.

Today marks the conclusion of the safari part of your journey. After breakfast, you'll depart from the park on a game drive and head to the Voi train station, where you'll bid farewell to your guide. They will assist with the check-in before you embark on a train journey towards Mombasa. This train ride is truly an experience of a lifetime, as you'll traverse through Tsavo National Park. With a bit of luck, you may even spot giraffes or elephants from your seat! In the afternoon, you'll arrive in Mombasa, where you'll be greeted by the hotel shuttle that will take you to the Diamonds Leisure Beach Resort (approximately 2 hours). This charming and comfortable resort is situated on a beautiful white palm-fringed beach. It offers various facilities for both active beach lovers and those seeking relaxation after a rewarding journey thus far. The hotel organizes numerous activities, and you can inquire at the reception about excursions and outings in the surrounding area. For the next 5 nights, you'll stay at Diamonds Leisure Beach Resort on an all-inclusive basis, allowing you to fully indulge in the amenities and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

As with all good things, there comes a time to say goodbye. Today is dedicated to your journey back home. After breakfast, you'll check out of the resort and can leave your luggage at a location designated by the reception. Depending on your chosen return flight or train ride, you'll be transferred to the airport in the morning or afternoon (approximately 2 hours' drive). In this proposal, we assume that you'll be leaving Kenya today with a treasure trove of experiences, impressions, and beautiful memories. Eventually, you'll take a night flight from Nairobi to your next destination.
